Zelenskyy calls security agreement with Germany one of most powerful documents in Ukrainian history

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the signed agreement on security cooperation with Germany one of the most powerful documents in Ukrainian history.

"Our security agreement is an unprecedented bilateral document. It reflects not only the level of relations achieved between us, but also the fundamental role of Germany in maintaining normality in Europe and the world," he said at a press conference with the German Chancellor in Berlin.

According to Zelenskyy, the most important thing in this agreement is specific numbers, years and specifics.

"These figures are not only about money. They are also about years. About specific dates when we act [with Germany] together. That is, these are specifics that a person in Ukraine can count on. Ukraine did not have more powerful documents than this one, which we signed today," the president said.

At the same time, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the political leadership of Great Britain, which was the first to launch the process of signing security cooperation agreements with Ukraine.

The head of state also said that today Ukraine is supported in this regard by more than 20 countries, and negotiation tracks are underway with them.

"[At the same time] this document [with Germany] is very powerful, and of the negotiations that we have with other states, with all due respect, I think that this will be one of the most powerful documents," Zelenskyy said.
