More than 800 uninterrupted Wi-Fi access points to be transferred to Irpin by Milwaukee's sister state – mayor
More than 800 uninterruptible Wi-Fi access points and software from the American company Advanced Wireless, Inc. will be transferred to Irpin by Milwaukee's sister state, Mayor Oleksandr Markushin said.
"Assistance in the amount of about $2 million will be transferred to Irpin by the American twin city of Milwaukee - more than 800 uninterruptible Wi-Fi access points and software from the American company Advanced Wireless, Inc.," his Telegram channel says.
According to Markushin, these are "not ordinary home routers, but a unique system used in the U.S. defense sector and used for the first time outside the country, capable of automatically switching to offline mode in case of sudden loss of communication."
"This technology will help strengthen the educational process in our community - the equipment will be installed in schools and kindergartens, in shelters of educational institutions where our children are forced to study during air raid sirens," the mayor said.
