URCS implements Home Care project in 613 settlements

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) is implementing the Home Care project in 24 regions and Kyiv.
"Currently, the Ukrainian Red Cross employs almost 1,000 social assistants who care for more than 5,000 wards throughout the country," the society said on Facebook, clarifying that they work in 613 settlements of the country.
The Home Care program provides household assistance, hygiene services, psychosocial support and other services to lonely people and people with disabilities who need constant care. Social assistants help their clients clean their homes, prepare food, maintain personal hygiene, purchase and deliver food, medicine, drinking water and other essentials.
Social aid workers also provide humanitarian aid from the Ukrainian Red Cross, such as food or hygiene kits. They also accompany their clients to the doctor and help them pay utility bills. If necessary, the society social assistants provide them with first medical or psychological assistance.
