Russia moving separate units from Kyiv, Chernihiv directions, but not completely abandoned attempts to capture or besiege cities – Defense Ministry

Russia is moving separate units from Kyiv and Chernihiv directions, but has not completely abandoned its attempts to capture or besiege these cities, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Oleksandr Motuzianyk said.
"I can partially confirm this information. Indeed, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes a certain partial movement of individual units from Kyiv direction, as well as from Chernihiv direction," Motuzianyk said at a briefing at the Ukrainian media center in Kyiv on Wednesday.
At the same time, there is no mass withdrawal of Russian troops from these areas, the spokesperson said.
"That is why it is too early to talk about it at the moment. Obviously, the enemy is withdrawing the units that suffered the most losses in order to replenish them. As of now, according to our operational information, the enemy has not completely abandoned attempts to capture or at least besiege these cities. We are talking about the capital and Chernihiv," Motuzianyk said.
