Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announces that the Cabinet of Ministers has increased the spending of the state budget reserve fund by UAH 50.8 billion.

"Today, the government has increased the expenditures of the state budget reserve fund by UAH 50.8 billion. This will allow us to quickly meet the needs of the security and defense sector under martial law," Shmyhal said in his address on Thursday evening.

The prime minister also noted that UAH 38.3 billion had already been allocated for pension payments in March, and only in the last two days the Cabinet of Ministers had financed UAH 13.9 billion for pension payments.

"Energy security and operation of critical infrastructure. Defense-industrial complex. Agro-industrial complex. Logistics. The successful work of these sectors is also an integral part of our victory," he said.

In addition, according to him, one of the main tasks of the government is to conduct a sowing campaign in those regions of our country where there are no active hostilities. Food crops will be a priority.

"We have stepped up our work with farmers in this direction so that Ukraine can fully provide itself with the necessary amount of food. It is necessary to resume the work of food industry enterprises in those areas that are not currently at the forefront," the prime minister said.
