Zelensky's envoy to Rada: Lawmakers' resistance to his initiatives is useless
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's representative to the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk has called for "rebooting" the entire political system in the country.
"There is a great crisis today, and it is not in relations between the president and the parliament. It seems to me there is a great constitutional crisis in understanding the relationship between the Ukrainian people and the remaining administration. And we see today how the public mistrusts a lot of governance institutions. And it's very important to all of us to satisfy the public demand for rebooting the existing political system," Stefanchuk said at a news briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
"Again, we see this useless resistance, we see all those who don't like change consolidating their efforts, but we are sure that, within the boundaries stipulated by the Ukrainian constitution, we will employ all mechanisms for the president of Ukraine to be able to influence the situation and satisfy the people's demand for change," he said.
