NATO not to offer program of enhanced capabilities to Ukraine at this time - Stoltenberg
NATO will not yet offer Ukraine a program of enhanced capabilities, but will continue its support, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said.
I do not expect that the decision will be made during this summit, but I know that we will continue our support of Ukraine, he said during a summit in Brussels on Wednesday, responding to the question whether the time has come to offer Kyiv a program of enhanced capabilities asked by Ukrainian MP Hanna Hopko.
At the same time, Stoltenberg noted that today there are many tools for developing relations with Ukraine.
We have a support plan, we have approved a package of assistance, trust funds. And we need to focus on it, and also on supporting reforms in Ukraine, the secretary general said.
