Information spread by ZIK TV Channel about the alleged attempt of the illegal seizure of the TV channel by the couple of MP Hleb Zahoriy and his wife is fiction and slander, the wife of the parliamentarian Kateryna Zahoriy wrote on her Facebook page.

"Our meeting was held at the proposal of Petro Dyminsky [100% beneficial owner of the TV channel] in the city of Athens (Greece) after studying the documents, which were personally brought to our office by a representative of ZIK," she wrote.

Zahoriy insists on the absence of any unlawful actions on her part and on the part of her husband, refuting the information about the alleged demands forwarded to Dyminsky, "especially from the Presidential Administration of Ukraine."

"Since he knows this for sure, I personally appeal to Dyminsky to refute this slander himself. Otherwise, I will take measures to protect our honor and dignity," the wife of the lawmaker, who for a long time headed the Industrial Television Committee, was a member of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting in 2014-2016 and left it at own will.

Zahoriy believes that the businessman deliberately manipulates the situation because of the reluctance to be responsible for participating in a fatal crash.

As reported, on August 18, a car from a motorcade of Dyminsky crashed into an Opel, which was driven by 31-year-old Natalia Trila. The woman died in the accident. Her relatives said that it was businessman Dyminsky who was driving the Mercedes.
