Ukrainian citizen Nadia Savchenko, who has been sentenced to 22 years in prison and has gone on a dry hunger strike, demands that foreign doctors be permitted to see her, Savchenko's lawyer Mark Feygin said.

"Nadia insists that Ukrainian or German doctors be permitted to visit her. There is no progress. Savchenko is not receiving medical assistance in prison for now," the lawyer wrote on his Twitter microblog on Thursday.
