Ukrtelecom has no plan to turn off or restrict its services in ATO area

PJSC Ukrtelecom has no plan to turn off or restrict its services in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area, the company has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"Given the fact that fixed telephony for local residents often remains the only available means of communication with their family, friends and emergency services, Ukrtelecom has no intention to disconnect its network or certain services in the ATO area," the operator said.
As reported, Ukraine's largest mobile operator Kyivstar on February 4 turned off its mobile network in areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions uncontrolled by Ukrainian authorities. The reason for the shutdown was the illegal action of armed men who on February 4 entered the technical area in Kyivstar’s office in Donetsk.
