The Bogdan Corporation, of the leading operators of the Ukrainian automobile market, made 673 passenger cars in February 2014, which is 4.9 times up on February 2013, the corporation's press service has reported.

"The company is still alarmed at the disastrous level of loading of production facilities [the plant can produce 10,000 cars a month] and calls on the new government to take urgent measures to stir up the operation of industrial companies, draw up efficient programs and laws aimed at supporting domestic production," reads the report.

The company intends to insist on providing a status of the top-priority sector to the Ukrainian automobile building sector, including taking into account the fact that dozens of enterprises from adjacent sectors are involved in production.

"The government should bring the economy from shadows. Industrial companies tomorrow should feel the reduction of tax pressure on them, first of all, the total burden on the wage fund should not exceed 15%, which will positively influence the budget revenues," the corporation said.

Bogdan Corporation Spokesman Serhiy Krasulia said that it is hard to speak about the revision of production plans for 2014, including due to the vagueness with the fate of current state programs, the national budget and the situation on the foreign currency market.

He said that the corporation continues cooperating with all partners and it is actively looking for new ones.

Bogdan Corporation was established in February 2005 with the aim of implementing large-scale automotive projects.

Today the company has two modern vehicle production plants - one in Cherkasy with a capacity of 120,000-150,000 cars (produces Lada and Hyundai cars, as well as cars under its own brand), and one in Lutsk with a capacity of 6,000 buses and trolleybuses.
