Passengers stuck in Miskhor-Ai-Petri cable cars get compensation
All passengers who were stuck in the Miskhor-Ai-Petri cable cars on August 11 have received compensation of UAH 500.
"Start-Invest Ltd. [the firm operating the cable car system] paid everybody who was trapped in cable cars UAH 500 as financial compensation for inconvenience," the press service of the cable car system quoted Start-Invest Director General Nadia Svanidze as saying on Monday.
As reported, 76 people were trapped in the Miskhor-Ai-Petri cable cars due to a mechanical failure of the cable car system on August 11.
Rescuers who arrived at the scene launched an operation to evacuate the tourists. The winds at the scene of the operation were 10-12 m/s. None of the tourists were injured.
