Ukraine has good chances to increase the level of innovation in its own economy, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Andriy Kliuyev has told journalists, while commenting on Bloomberg's Global Innovation Index, in which Ukraine ranked 42nd among 200 states.

According to Kliuyev, the key to success is the government's systemic approach to the creation of stimuli and conditions for the modernization of industries, as well as in the persistency of businesses in the process of increasing the productivity and actively using and developing high technologies.

He added that businessmen should apply more efforts to search for and implement new ideas, new technologies and new approaches in order to gradually increase a share of products with high added value in Ukrainian exports. In turn, the authorities should create competitive environment and stimulate further investment activity, according to Kliuyev.
