CEC gets original vote count protocol from Illienko-Hereha constituency

The Central Election Commission (CEC) at a meeting on Thursday received vote count protocols from 36 district election commissions, including the protocol from scandal-hit constituency No. 215 in Kyiv.

An Interfax-Ukraine reporter said that the protocol approved at a meeting of the district election commission had been signed with one particular opinion by commission member Vasyl Bondarchuk, who said: "The members of the district election commission were actively pressurized psychologically and mentally by observers who attended the commission's meeting."

In addition, he pointed to the flaws of the electoral law.

The head of district election commission No. 215, Roman Kartavy, in turn, said that he did not know whether any lawsuit has currently been filed against the counting of votes at this district.

As reported, Svoboda representative Andriy Illienko won the elections in district election commission No. 215 by a margin of 191 votes. According to the Central Election Commission, he took 33.14% of the vote (32,965), while his opponent, self-nominee Halyna Hereha, garnered 32.95% (32,774 votes).
