The leader of the European Solidarity party, People's Deputy of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said that he was once again was illegally prevented from going on a working trip abroad to Brussels, the political force's website reports.

"January 16 is a historic day for the entire Ukrainian state. 11 years ago, in this hall, the curtailment of democracy in Ukraine was put to a vote and voted for by hand, which ultimately led to the implementation of the Revolution of Dignity... The curtailment of democracy today is also the fact that once again, as the leader of European Solidarity, who planned to meet in Europe with the leaders of the European People's Party, I was once again prevented from going to the border on the instructions of the head of the presidential security service," Poroshenko said, speaking from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday.

At the same time, he noted the anniversary of an example of heroism.

"Some 10 years ago at the Donetsk airport the famous ‘cyborgs’ showed the courage and resilience of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who continue to hold the front, destroying Russian invaders and protecting the state," he said.
