Ukraine wants to pass info to France to impose sanctions against Russian propagandists

Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine Mykola Tochytsky discussed with Ambassador of the French Republic to Ukraine Gaël Veyssière the deepening of cooperation in preserving cultural heritage, strengthening strategic communications and promoting Ukrainian cultural products in France, the press service of the ministry reports.

"We are interested in exchanging experience with different countries, especially with our main partners. We currently have no right to turn a blind eye to issues related to the fight against Russian propaganda. I am certainly glad that France is our ally, actively supporting the strengthening of strategic and crisis communications," Tochytsky said.

According to the report, the Ukrainian side put forward a number of proposals for the implementation of the security agreement between Ukraine and France, including providing France with information to impose personal sanctions against propagandists who justify or deny Russian aggression, introducing mutually beneficial exchanges between French and Ukrainian experts in the field of information security and strategic communications, as well as establishing effective cooperation in identifying and countering hybrid threats.

"We will be happy to cooperate with Ukrainian artists and experts in the field of education. And in the near future, we hope to attend the opening of new training courses, the program of which will focus on combating disinformation," the French ambassador said.
