General Staff confirms strikes on four Russian airfields by Ukrainian forces

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck four military airfields of the Russian occupiers at once, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

"On the night of August 14, units of the Air Force and Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, attacked four airfields in Voronezh, Kursk and Nizhny Novgorod regions of Russia," the report says.

In particular, according to the General Staff, the military airfields Khalino, Savasleyka, Borisoglebsk and Baltimor were struck.

These airfields are home to army aviation, Su-34 fighter-bombers, Su-35 fighters and other military aircraft of the enemy, the General Staff explained.

"The main targets were fuel and lubricants and aviation weapons. The results of the attack are being clarified," the department added.
