Zelenskyy signs laws on preferential import of energy equipment

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed laws providing for the abolition of VAT and duties on the import of energy equipment, the Verkhovna Rada website reports.

The cards of bills No. 11258 and No. 11259, adopted by the Ukrainian parliament on July 16, indicate that they were returned with the signature of the head of state on July 26.

MP from the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak clarified on Telegram that the signed laws contain amendments on the exemption from duties and VAT on the import of energy equipment to Ukraine: electric generator equipment, equipment for wind and solar generation, batteries (except for low-power batteries).

"There is also equipment for the manufacture of means of counteracting technical intelligence and my amendment on the exemption of tactical headphones for the military," he added.

As reported, on July 16, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in general bills No. 11258 and No. 11259 on the provision of privileges on duties and VAT for the import of equipment into the customs territory of Ukraine. This concerns electric generator equipment, equipment for wind and solar generation, batteries (except for low-power batteries), equipment for mine action, equipment for the manufacture of means of counteracting technical intelligence.
