Higher Administrative Court dismisses appeal by Batkivschyna's candidate in constituency No. 132

The Higher Administrative Court of Ukraine has dismissed a complaint by a parliamentary candidate from the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Union, Arkadiy Kornatsky, who ran in constituency No. 132 against a ruling of Kyiv Administrative Court of Appeal in his lawsuit challenging a CEC resolution not to recognize the results of voting in five single-seat constituencies.

The Higher Administrative Court issued this ruling on Monday, Channel 5 reported.

On November 9, Kyiv Administrative Court of Appeal dismissed the candidate's appeal to cancel the Central Election Commission's decision not to establish the election results in five single-member districts Nos. 94, 132, 194, 197, 223.

Kornatsky demanded that the CEC and not the district election commission should count the votes from the constituency's polling stations and find out if the vote count protocols had been forged, and should declare him the winner in constituency No. 132.

The Central Election Commission first reported that with all votes counted in the constituency, Kornatsky won with 39.66% of the vote, 4,167 votes ahead of Vitaliy Travianko, a candidate of the Party of Regions, who received 34.09%. However, when the CEC received a vote count protocol from the constituency, Travianko was declared the winner. Constituency No. 132 is among those where a repeat vote may be announced
