Vasyl Khmelnytsky's K.Fund announced the launch of a humanitarian direction to combat the devastating consequences of Russian military aggression.

"Of dozens of UFuture businesses (which combine the assets of Khmelnytsky), which worked powerfully before the war, today only a few are working, and even then not at full capacity. Almost all projects and accounts are frozen. Having a powerful team, experience, reputation and network, we cannot just observe how Ukrainians suffer from the war. Therefore, our K.Fund is launching a humanitarian direction," Khmelnytsky wrote on Facebook.

According to K.Fund's message, Mykola Tymoschuk, the CEO of UFuture Holding, will head its activities. The board included former EIB Vice President Vazil Hudak, Advisor to the Czech National Development Fund Michal Tomasz Kaminski, Vice Marshal of the Polish Senate, Professor of Finance at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Director of the IMD World Competitiveness Center Arturo Bris.

Taking into account the humanitarian needs growing every day due to Russian aggression, the fund's management decided to focus its activities entirely on humanitarian assistance, and chose to preserve and provide the most valuable resource of Ukraine - its people as the main mission, the release says.

According to it, the money of the fund will be accumulated in the EU. The fund will collect it from foreign partners, donors and organizations, order essential goods abroad and deliver them to Ukraine. The work of the fund will focus on the following areas: medicines and medical equipment, specialized food products for humanitarian disaster zones, elements of mobile energy infrastructure, specialized transport.

In Ukraine, the fund has a logistics ecosystem and reliable partners to deliver assistance directly and on time to where it is most needed. The fund cooperates with city and civil state administrations and volunteer headquarters. The following organizations have already joined the partners: Nova Poshta, KPMG, Ukrzaliznytsia and FTI Consulting.

"I don't understand how effective it will be. But for three weeks now we have been working 24/7 on the logistics delivery of humanitarian aid throughout the country and we feel that the internal resources of Ukrainian business are almost exhausted, and we still have a lot of work," Khmelnytsky said.

According to him, since the beginning of the war, the holding's top management team has been redeployed to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. Employees coordinate the delivery of aid from Poland through warehouses in Lviv region, and the industrial park in Bila Tserkva has turned into another logistics center and distributes aid in Kyiv and central Ukraine, including cooperating with the Ukrainian Red Cross.

"We will tell the world the truth about the war in Ukraine and the real needs of people. We will do everything to bring our victory closer by supporting Ukrainians on the humanitarian front. Together we can endure. While I appeal to the whole world with a request to support the Ukrainians, while our defenders protect our land and freedom from the enemy," the entrepreneur emphasized.

"The business community both in Ukraine and abroad has a special responsibility to mobilize resources to overcome the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The fund can play a special role in coordinating such humanitarian assistance from the business community," Vazil Hudak, a member of the fund's board, said.

K.Fund is a non-profit organization. For more than seven years, its team has been implementing and supporting education and economic development projects and cooperating with international organizations and donors.
