ESTA Holding creates hotel business development department

CJSC ESTA Holding, the managing company of the ESTA Group, which was created by Donetsk-based CJSC System Capital Management (SCM), has created a hotel business development department headed by Dejan Djordjevic, reads a company press release.

"The hotel business always was one of the key directions of ESTA Group's activity. But earlier each hotel had its own manager, who determined the facility's development strategy, and now this function of strategy development will be concentrated [in a department] at the corporate center. Dejan Djordjevic has become the head of this [department]," the press service cited ESTA Holding Director General Mykola Nesterenko as saying.

Djordjevic will be responsible for development of hotel projects of ESTA Group, which today includes the operating five-star Opera (Kyiv) and Donbas Palace (Donetsk) hotels, as well as Donetsk-based Kyiv Hotel, which is under modernization at the moment.

Djordjevic has nineteen years of experience of working at the Hyatt international hotel chain in Moscow, Almaty and Belgrade, where he held positions from sales manager to director general of the hotel.

In the last three years Djordjevic has held the position of CEO at Alatau Hospitality, an investor in hotel projects all over the world. At this position he headed the Four Seasons Bora Bora projects, as well as several luxury hotel projects in Almaty and the Seychelles.

As reported, ESTA Holding's portfolio includes over 30 projects worth some $300 million. The company manages over 100 hectares of land, 150,000 square meters of property and around 150,000 square meters of property under development.

ESTA Group includes Opera Hotel, Donbas Palace Hotel, Hotel Kyiv, a logistics complex in Dnipropetrovsk, and some projects at the stage of realization (the Pushkinsky multifunctional complex in Donetsk and the Oktiabrsky complex in Kyiv). In addition, the group owns the Kyiv-based Leonardo business center on parity conditions.
