AXA Insurance (Kyiv) in January-September 2018 collected over UAH 1.383 billon in gross insurance premiums, which is 12% more than a year ago, the insurance company has reported in a press release.

Premiums earned grew by 44%, to UAH 1.321 billion, and investment income totaled UAH 99 million (2% up year-over-year).

The company also reported that it saw profit of UAH 66 million (according to the national accounting standards), while a year ago its loss stood at UAH 141 million.

"The basis of this positive result is a combination of several factors that we lay in shaping the policy of profitability of operations, namely, an increase in income from insurance activities, including a decrease in high-loss products and a conservative reserves policy," the company said.
