Ukrnaftoburinnia raises gas production by 65% in H1, 2017

PJSC Ukrnaftoburinnia, co-owned by Ihor Kolomoisky and Vitaliy Khomutynnyk, in January-June 2017 increased gas production by 64.6% (73 million cubic meters) compared to the same period in 2016, to 186 million cubic meters.

According to a company press release, production of oil with gas condensate in the period rose by 75% (9,000 tonnes), to 21,000 tonnes.

"A significant increase in production performance in the first half of 2017 became possible due to investment in exploration and a program to intensify production from existing wells," head of the geology department Volodymyr Novikov said.

According to him, over the past three quarters Ukrnaftoburinnia commissioned three new wells, another new well is to be commissioned by the end of July, which will allow increasing production volumes in the second half of the year.

In addition, the company intends in late 2017-early 2018 to put into operation at least four new wells.

Gas extraction by Ukrnaftoburinnia in 2016 amounted to 259 million cubic meters, oil and condensate some 29,000 tonnes.
