Government proposes cutting number of taxes to eight from 2016, says premier
The Ukrainian government has initiated amendments to the Tax Code that would introduce a relaxed taxation scheme in the country from 2016, with the number of taxes being reduced from the present 22 to eight, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.
"On the one hand, this will allow the relaxing of the process of collecting taxes and fighting corruption, and on the other hand it will give a chance to work with transparent and clear mechanisms," he said, speaking in the Ukrainian parliament on Tuesday.
As reported, the previous government and Income and Tax Ministry discussed the reduction of taxes to nine or ten, although later their number was increased to 14, although in practice this idea was not realized.
