Yatseniuk: IMF, Ukraine program could be confirmed by end of April
The cooperation program between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Ukraine could be reviewed and confirmed by the end of April this year, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a briefing Wednesday.
He said that the Verkhovna Rada should pass several bills next week related to the preliminary conditions that Ukraine must fulfill for the program's renewal.
"I am practically certain that we will get these resolutions looked at in parliament, and that by the end of this month the IMF's board of directors should review the program with Ukraine. My estimates are very positive," Yatseniuk said.
He also said he would insist that the Verkhovna Rada confirm the government's offers for large business taxation.
"I think parliament will support us," Yatseniuk said.
