UTair-Ukraine launches regular flights on Kharkiv-Yerevan route

UTair-Ukraine has launched regular flights on the Kharkiv-Yerevan (Armenia) route, the deputy director general for aviation operations at Kharkiv International Airport, Vladyslav Ilyin, has said.

"On December 22 the Kharkiv-Yerevan flights of UTair-Ukraine airline were launched. The flight frequency is once a week," he told reporters.

According to Ilyin, the airport is also negotiating with UTair-Ukraine on opening seasonal flights to Simferopol (Crimea) with a frequency of twice a week.

Speaking about the planned new domestic flights, the official also reported that the airport is in talks with UIA on the issue of the second daily flight to Kyiv.

"We are in talks with UIA regarding the second daily flight to Kyiv, which is aimed at business travelers arriving in Kharkiv on business. Previously there was another flight, but due to the bankruptcy of AeroSvit they focused on international flights. We are negotiating to resume this flight," said Ilyin.
