A total of 1,290 deals on the sale and purchase of land plots were signed in Kyiv region in May 2013, which is 15.2% up on April 2013, the SV Development consulting company has reported, referring to its SV Realty real estate agency (both based in Kyiv).

According to the report, the average price of a deal in May grew slightly, to $19,200 compared to $19,000 in April.

The largest demand (68% of all deals) was seen for small land plots from six hundred to 2,000 square meters. The share of deals with land plots of 2,000-5,000 square meters and 5,000 square meters-to one hectare were 20% and 12% respectively

The largest number of deals (69%) were signed for land plots worth up to $18,000. The share of deals in the price range from $18,000 to $30,000 amounted to 21%, and for those higher than $30,000 it was 11%.

The cheapest plots, with an average price of $1,028 per hundred square meters, were registered in Fastiv District, while the average price in KyivoSviatoshyne and Obukhiv districts came to $4,840 and $4,219 per hundred square meters respectively.
