URCS, Emergency Service on duty in settlements of Chernihiv region, where there is rise in water in rivers
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and employees of the State Emergency Service deployed posts in settlements of Chernihiv region, where there is a rise in water in rivers as a result of flooding.
"The Ukrainian Red Cross is involved in responding to the flood in Chernihiv region … In particular, Chernihiv regional organization and the rapid response unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross are actively involved in responding to the consequences of flooding in the region. Posts have now been deployed in the settlements where the greatest rise in water is observed. Volunteers are on duty there together with employees of the (Main Directorate) of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Chernihiv region," URCS reported on Facebook on Monday.
Volunteers on Bohun snow and swamp-going vehicles deliver humanitarian aid to settlements where transport links are disrupted due to flooding. In addition, thanks to special transport, children living in these settlements can get to educational institutions.
