Crimean parliament to decide on appointment of autonomous republic's premier on Tuesday
An extraordinary plenary meeting of the Council of Ministers of Crimea on the issue of the appointment of the new premier of the autonomous republic will be held on Tuesday.
Crimean Speaker Volodymyr Konstantynov signed a relevant order on Monday, Interfax-Ukraine learned at the press centre of the Supreme Council of Crimea.
The meeting will start at 1400. There is a single issue on the agenda – the appointment of the chairman of the Council of Ministers of Crimea.
As reported, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych approved the nomination of Anatoliy Mohyliov as chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on Monday.
Prior to this, the president dismissed Mohyliov from the post of Interior Minister of Ukraine.
The previous prime minister of Crimea, Vasyl Dzharty, died on August 17. Since then the post of the Crimean premier has been vacant.
According to the first clause of Article 37 of the Constitution of Crimea, the chairman of the Crimean Council of Ministers is nominated by the speaker of the Crimean parliament, his nomination is agreed with the president of Ukraine and then approved by the Crimean parliament.
