Invaders prevent humanitarian convoy from entering part of Zaporizhia region controlled by them - regional military administration
The Russian occupation troops, which occupied the town of Vasylivka, Zaporizhia region, did not let the Ukrainian humanitarian convoy, which was heading from Zaporizhia to the cities they occupied, pass, said head of Zaporizhia regional military administration Oleksandr Starukh.
"The convoy was fully prepared, which consisted of buses and five trucks with humanitarian aid. We sent it, our troops let it through, it reached Vasylivka, where it was deployed by Russian troops," Starukh said in a video message published on Telegam on Wednesday.
At the same time, according to him, a convoy with evacuees left from Enerhodar, Zaporizhia region, occupied by the invaders, in the direction of the regional center, and residents of Vasylivka and Dniprorudny also expressed a desire to leave. The head of the regional administration expressed hope that the invaders would let them through.
"Currently, there is a convoy from Enerhodar - people, many buses from Dniprorudny also want to leave, and they want to leave Vasylivka. We expect the Russians to let them through - keep their promises, let people out and create this humanitarian corridor so that those who have to leave for Zaporizhia could do it. In Zaporizhia, everything is prepared for their reception, we are waiting for them. We will create all the conditions, respectively, so that they feel at home," Starukh said.
