Ukraine records 19,419 new COVID-19 cases per day, 10,032 people recovered
As of Thursday morning, some 19,419 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, some 10,032 people recovered, 464 patients died, Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov said.
"Some 19,419 new cases of coronavirus disease were recorded in Ukraine as of April 8, 2021. In particular, 766 children and 480 medical workers fell ill. Over the past day, some 5,092 people were hospitalized; some 464 people died; some 10,032 people recovered," Stepanov said on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.
A day earlier, on April 7, some 15,415 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded; there were 13,276 new cases of COVID-19 on April 6; some 10,179 new cases of COVID-19 were reported on April 5.
The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic on Thursday morning was 1.804 million people, some 35,962 patients died and 1.384 million people recovered.
Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in the city of Kyiv (1,886), Kharkiv (1,427), Lviv (1,255), Khmelnytsky (1,158) and Odesa (1,142) regions.
