The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported a significant decrease in the intensity of explosions at the sixth arsenal of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in Ichniansky district of Chernihiv region.

"Intensity of explosions is dynamically changing. At this time, it has significantly decreased, one explosion per minute has been recorded," the General Staff said on Facebook on Tuesday.

Also, the General Staff reported that as of 14:00, two demining fighting vehicles arrived at the arsenal for the localization of the fire to strengthen the standard fire and other equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And due to the reduction in smoke, the operational headquarters decided to use unmanned aerial reconnaissance vehicles.

Earlier, two fire tanks GPM-54 arrived at the scene of the incident.

As reported, information about explosions at the sixth arsenal of Ukraine's Defense Ministry was received at 03:30 on Tuesday morning.

More than 12,000 people have been evacuated and airspace within a 30 kilometer radius has been closed. Railway and road traffic near the ammunition depot was blocked. No casualties have been reported.
