Lawyers for Nozdrovska's daughter ask for access to all materials of criminal case

Lawyers for Anastasia Nozdrovska, the daughter of the murdered lawyer Iryna Nozdrovska, have asked law enforcement agencies to be granted access to all materials of the criminal case and to ensure her and their safety, as they are under pressure.

"We want to turn to law enforcement bodies so that we, first and foremost, could be able to examine all materials of the criminal case, which they intentionally conceal from us today. Secondly, we want them to allow us to participate in all investigative actions. Thirdly, when today statements by representatives of the law enforcement system are heard on all channels and when they spread information that is the secret of investigative actions, it is wrong and unfair with respect to Anastasia [Nozdrovska]," lawyer Tamila Ulianova said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday, January 11.

She stated that after joining this case lawyers were subjected to psychological pressure and were constantly being watched.

"We do not know who follows us. These might also be representatives of law enforcement agencies who request information from all our friends, interfere in our personal life," Ulianova said.

She appealed to law enforcement agencies with the request to ensure the safety of representatives of the victim in this process.

Another representative of the victim, Maryna Tkachenko, said that they had been provided with only 5-10% of the materials collected by a pre-trial investigation body.

Lawyer Oleksandr Panchenko urged law enforcement agencies not to allow any leakage of information on this case to the public.

"When we learn during examination the facts that have long been discussed by some political scientists and specialists who are not related to this case, it will look strange," he said.

He noted that due to the current situation and the attitude of law enforcement officers to them, lawyers could not form an opinion on whether suspect Yuriy Rossoshansky was indeed the killer of Nozdrovska.

As reported, lawyer Nozdrovska, who lived in the village of Demydiv in Vyshgorod district, Kyiv region, was found dead in a river on January 1, 2018.

On January 8, it became known about the detention of a suspect in this crime. He is Yuriy Rossoshansky, the father of Dmytro Rossoshansky, who was sentenced in May 2017 to seven years in prison for a deadly road crash, in which, in September 2015, Nozdrovska's sister, Svitlana Sapatynska, was killed.

On January 9, the Vyshgorodsky District Court of Kyiv region chose a preventive measure to Rossoshansky in the form of custody for 60 days - until March 8, 2018.

Yuriy Rossoshansky works as a driver of PJSC Kyivoblenergo. He has no criminal record.
