Over the past day, the militants carried out 80 shelling of the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Anti-Terrorist operation (ATO) area, as a result of which five Ukrainian servicemen have been wounded and one injured, the press center of the ATO headquarters has said.

In the Mariupol sector, militant forces used mortars to shell Krasnohorivka, Novotroyitske, Vodiane, Maryinka, Pavlopil and Bohdanivka, and fired grenade launchers and small arms on Lebedynske, Starohnativka, Taramchuk, Maryinka, Novohryhorivka, Shyrokyne, Chermalyk, Vodiane and Hnutove, the press service of ATO said. Snipers were also targeting Talakivka, it said.

In the Luhansk sector, the militants fired mortars to shell Krymske, Novo-Oleksandrivka and Popasna and grenade launchers and small arms upon Novozvanivka, Novo-Oleksandrivka and Stanytsia Luhanska, it said.

In the Donetsk sector, militant forces fired mortars upon Nevelske, Mayorske, Avdiyivka, Dacha and Luhanske, grenade launchers and small arms upon Opytne, Kamyanka, Luhanske, Pisky, Nevelske, Avdiyivka, Zaitseve and Troyitske, small arms upon Mayorske, and an anti-aircraft gun upon Troyitske, the press center said.

Snipers were also targeting Avdiyivka and Zaitseve, it said.

The press center said later on Facebook that Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions and rear areas continued to be shelled on Friday.

"As the day began, the adversary continued to shell our forces' positions, including with the use of 152mm artillery. Moreover, not only the forward positions of our forces, but also rear districts located deep inside our territory came under fire from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., jeopardizing the lives and health of local residents," it said.

In the Luhansk sector, militant forces fired 120 Grad multiple rocket launcher rounds and artillery systems, it said.

Two Ukrainian servicemen have been injured on Friday, it said.
