During the massive protests in Kyiv between November 30, 2013 through February 5, 2014, 15 minors sustained head injuries, concussions and gunshot wounds, human rights commissioner of Verkhovna Rada Valeriya Lutkovska has announced.

This is proven by the results of monitoring children's rights in the context of the current political situation posted on the commissioner's website Wednesday.

The results of the monitoring indicate during the massive unrest minors were groundlessly detained by law enforcement who caused them bodily harm.

Detective reports indicate that on November 30, 2013 - February 5, 2014 law enforcement detained over 60 minors due to their possible involvement in massive protests. Most of the minors were questioned as witnesses and later released after counseling.
