Trump's decree on suspension of intl aid doesn’t apply to Ukraine – NSDC

The decree signed by U.S. President Donald Trump, suspending international aid for 90 days, does not apply to military assistance to Ukraine, said Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
"The decree, signed by U.S. President Trump, suspending international aid for 90 days, does not apply to military assistance to Ukraine. It's all about other things," he wrote on Telegram.
As noted by MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak, information about Trump's "freezing of foreign aid from the United States" is actively spreading on the Web and in the media." What will it be?"
"In short: it doesn't concern us. We have chosen congressional assistance (only a part of the presidential aid remains there, but this has nothing to do with the decree). The Congress did not vote on new aid. That's it. Do not spread treason where there is none," the MP concluded.
According to the Associated Press, the decree signed by Trump concerns international assistance within the framework of development programs, which covers the activities of UN agencies, peacekeeping initiatives, refugee support programs and human rights protection. Military assistance to Ukraine is provided under the PDA, USAI and FMF programs, which were not affected by the decree.
Earlier it was reported that on the first day after his inauguration, President Donald Trump signed a decree suspending all U.S. foreign aid programs for 90 days until an analysis of their compliance with his policy goals is carried out.
