PM instructs Interior Ministry, SBU to secure Dnipropetrovsk residents

Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov has instructed the heads of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to ensure safety of people in Dnipropetrovsk, where a number of blasts have went off on Friday.

The premier's spokesman, Vitaliy Lukyanenko, said that the government has discussed the issue at a meeting on Friday and decided to send urgently Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko to Dnipropetrovsk.

Working groups of the Interior Ministry and SBU are working on sites.

"An operative group of the Interior Ministry is investigating into the case," Lukyanenko said.

Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Oleksandr Vilkul has urgently left for Dnipropetrovsk from Kyiv, where he was participating in an unscheduled meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
