Over 18,000 new state-owned customers have joined the ProZorro e-procurement system since August 2016, and the number of tenders grew by 550%, to 991,500.

The press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine reported on Tuesday that on August 1, 2017 it was one year since the full switch to the electronic public procurement via the ProZorro system was made.

According to the ProZorro's analytics, the number of bidders (companies or individual businessmen who took part at least in one tender) rose by 384%, while the sum of the announced tenders soared almost 10-fold, from UAH 75 billion to UAH 725 billion.

"We are not satisfied with what has already been achieved. We are working on the new bill on pre-threshold procurement which would provide for data on all procurement in the electronic system. We want that in the future all procurement tenders are held via ProZorro and synchronously we intend to relax the pre-threshold procurement rules for state-owned customers. We are also working on a pilot project of the central procurement organizations, to which public agencies can delegate their typical procurement," the press service said, citing First Deputy Minister Maksym Nefyodov.

Director of ProZorro state-owned enterprise Vasyl Zadvorny said that now they are waiting for a number of legislative amendments, which would be able to add functions to the system. In particular, the development of services for supervision agencies is being discussed.

As reported, the ProZorro system was launched in the pilot mode in February 2015.
