Government improves rules for paying fees to aviation special fund

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has improved the rules for paying fees to the special fund financing national spending on aviation activities and Ukraine's participation in international aviation organizations.

This is outlined in government resolution No. 182 dated March 22, 2017 posted on the government's website.

The document was designed by the State Aviation Service of Ukraine.

The authority said that the amendments to the payment rules envisage the clear and definite procedure for providing reports on the number of passengers flying from airports and cargos arrived or departed Ukrainian airports before the 20th day of each month by airport operators. In addition, the draft resolution includes methods for calculating state duties in foreign currency under the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on the day when the invoice is issued. It foresees the obligatory settlement of the invoice during 30 days from the moment it is issued.

As reported, on May 17, 2016 the amendments to the procedure for providing and annulling rights to operate air routes in Ukraine took effect.
