State Aviation Service initiates inspection of Yanair airline

Ukraine's State Aviation Service has decided to inspect Yanair airline (Zhytomyr) regarding the technical state of its fleet and observation of passengers' rights when flights are delayed for a long period of time.

The State Aviation Service said that if infringements are revealed, sanction ns will be applied to the airline.

Yanair because to delays of regular and charter flights on July 15 and July 16, due to technical reasons and the complicated political situation in Turkey, provided food and beverages to passengers of the delayed flights.

Yanair was registered in Zhytomyr on June 15, 2012. In July 2013 it received a certificate for operations. The airline is based at Kyiv Zhuliany International Airport.

At present, the company’s fleet consists of two Saab 340 planes, three Airbus A320 planes, three Boeing 737-300 planes and two Boeing 737-400 planes.
