Rada writes off fines of heating and water companies for late payment for gas and electricity
The Verkhovna Rada has adopted law No. 2706 on writing off fines imposed on heating and water supply companies due to late payments for gas and electricity.
Some 253 deputies voted for the law.
The document also suggests the introduction of a moratorium on imposing new fines on heating and water supply companies in the conditions of the incomplete coverage of the difference in fees and the extension of the possibility of restructuring heating companies' debts for 2014 if there is no debt as of early 2014.
According to an explanatory note to the document dated April 2015, the total debt on the difference in tariffs to heating companies on January 1, 2015 amounted to UAH 2.4 billion, for the services of centralized water supply and drainage UAH 4 billion.
