NBU instructs banks to execute 'Savchenko list' sanctions introduced by NSDC
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has instructed banks within three days to provide information on the existence of bank accounts and the balance of the accounts of 84 individuals listed in the sanctions list of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) for illegal actions against Nadia Savchenko, Oleh Sentsov and Oleksandr Kolchenko, the regulator reported on the website.
Corresponding NBU decree No. 276 of April 21 comes into force on the day following its publication and is valid during the application of sanctions.
From now on the banks are obliged to monthly provide the regulator with information on the balance of funds on the accounts of persons mentioned in the NSDC lists, as well as attempts to conduct financial transactions by these persons in their favor.
A full list of persons is contained in the NSDC decision dated March 25, 2016 and was put into effect by presidential decree No. 121/2016 of March 29, 2016.
