Ex-head of IMF Strauss-Kahn, economists Aslund, Saltiel become members of supervisory board of Pinchuk's bank Credit-Dnepr

Bank Credit Dnepr, under control of Ukrainian businessman Victor Pinchuk, has formed a new supervisory board consisting of six members, and famous international economists Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Anders Aslund, Jean-Pierre Saltiel and Alex Munteanu have become four independent members of the board.

The bank reported on Wednesday that two representatives of the shareholder are Executive Director of EastOne investment and consulting group that unites Pinchuk's assets Mykhailo Tsarev and Chief Investment Officer Andriy Dudnyk are also members of the board.

"Today we've received a good chance of building the further bank's development strategy, laying on the unique experience of leading global economists and financiers and best global practice," the bank said in a press release, citing Board Chairperson Olena Malynska.

Dudnyk is head of the supervisory board.

Strauss-Kahn is French economist and politician, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2007-2011.

Aslund is Swedish economist and former diplomat who lives in America; a leading international expert for the national economies of Ukraine, Russia and former Soviet Union countries.

Saltiel is French economist, President of Rothschild Сonseil International in 1998-2004. He worked in the French Foreign Ministry, he ran the post of deputy director of Credit Industriel et Commercial and he was a partner of Maison Lazard et Cie investment bank.

Munteanu is Managing Director of Europe Virgin Fund (EVF) organized by Dragon Capital investment company. He is board chairman at Portmone and Prime Group, Chumak and Venbest companies.

Bank Credit Dnepr was founded in 1993. The sole shareholder of the bank at the beginning of December 7, 2015 was Brancroft Enterprises Limited (Cyprus, 100%), the beneficial owners - Pinchuk and his family.

Bank Credit Dnepr ranked 23rd among 123 operating banks as of October 1, 2015, in terms of total assets worth UAH 7.413 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
