Roshen denies Hudson accusations

Roshen confectionary corporation has denied accusations made by British architect Phillip Hudson that it had refused to fully pay him for designing the Vinnytsia Milk Processing Factory administrative building.

According to a report issued by the corporation's press service, Roshen has confirmed its cooperation with Hudson as part of the contract signed between D’ESTATE and Vinnitsa Confectionery Factory on developing the Vinnitsa Milk Processing Factory administrative building.

"The sketch plan was developed by D’ESTATE company, accepted and paid by Roshen," reads the report.

Roshen said that during the development phase D’ESTASTE made numerous errors, including serious deviations from national construction rules and regulations, which made abiding by the construction approval procedure with public authorities impossible.

"In accordance with the contract provisions Roshen terminated it. The payment under the contract covered the services accepted by Roshen. Moreover, Roshen incurred additional expenses, as there was no other option as to order the design development by another architect bureau," the corporation said.

"We call on architect Hudson to stop composing "political detective stories," and we believe that he bears the responsibility for damaging Roshen’s reputation," the corporation said.

"Thus we once more invite Hudson to defend his rights, which he considers infringed, through the courts," reads the report.
