Hyundai Intercity+ train launched on new Kyiv-Truskavets route

The Ukrainian Railway High-Speed Company on June 1 launched an Intercity+ train produced by Korean Hyundai Rotem on the Kyiv-Truskavets route.

According to the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry of Ukraine, the train departs from Darnytsia station at 0625, stops at Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky station at 0648 and arrives in Truskavets at 1400. It also stops at Lviv station (1159 - 1219) and Drohobych (1334 - 1344).

On the way back, the train departs from Truskavets station at 1540 and arrives at Kyiv-Pasazhyrsky station at 2255, and Darnytsia station at 2319.

According to chief of Lviv Railways Bohdan Pikh, the rail company is working on reducing the travel time from Lviv to Truskavets.

Director of the Ukrainian Railway High-Speed Company Leonid Loboiko, in turn, noted that the company is constantly adapting its route network to the needs of passengers and time requirements – the time of arrival and departure from Truskavets is consistent with the time of check-in and check-out of the city hotels.

He also said that the occupancy of the Kyiv-Truskavets-Kyiv trains on the first day of running exceeded 50%.

"On the first day of travelling from Kyiv to Lviv 42 tickets were bought, to Drohobych - four and Truskavets - 36. On the way back to Kyiv - about 400 passengers purchased tickets from Kyiv and Lviv," said Loboiko.
