Milkiland, a dairy group with assets in Ukraine, Russia and Poland, plans this year to keep cheese production in Ukraine at the level of 2012, or 30,000 tonnes, CEO Anatoliy Yurkevich has said at a press conference.

"This year in Ukraine we should achieve a figure of 30,000 tonnes, plus Poland will produce 2,000-3,000 tonnes, and Russia. This is the level of last year," he said.

Yurkevich also noted that the company is not ready to announce its plans for further investment.

"We're expecting changes in the customs regime between Ukraine and Russia, plus our main creditors ... also suspended talks on further funding in this connection. Everyone is waiting for a reaction from Russia," he said.

According to him, Milkiland focused on the accumulation of financial resources.

He also commented on the appointment of Andriy Strilets director of Milkiland-Ukraine.

"We needed someone who has experience of work with networks and sales ... [as] here we need to improve efficiency," he said.
