The USAID project “State-Owned Enterprises Reform Activity in Ukraine” (SOERA) invites you to join the roundtable discussion "The Role of State-Owned Enterprises in Post-War Recovery".

The role of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) increased significantly during the full-scale Russian invasion. On the one hand, SOEs are expected to play a significant role in post-war recovery, and on the other hand, the state declares a reduction in its influence in the post-war economy. SOERA organizes a roundtable which aims to provide a platform for discussion between key stakeholders on their vision of the role of SOEs in post-war recovery.

The discussion will also help to better understand exactly what kind of assistance SOEs need to participate effectively in post-war recovery.

📌 Discussion topics:

🔸 Role of the state in the postwar recovery and post-war economy;

🔸 Role of SOEs in the postwar recovery and post-war economy;

🔸 Reconstruction vs. modernization;

🔸 Attracting funding: Grants, loans (state-owned banks vs. IFIs), strategic investors (state vs. IFIs vs. private sector), and IPOs.

The leaders of the largest Ukrainian SOEs, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, and the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure will act as speakers.

Participation is free of charge.
