Portal and mail ukr.net temporarily unavailable to users

One of the largest news portals and mail server ukr.net is temporarily unavailable to users due to the domain name being disabled by the registrar.

"Unfortunately, millions of Ukrainian users who read news every day on the ukr.net portal and use @ukr.net mail cannot do this now. We are doing everything possible to restore work. Caring people are helping us with this," it is reported on the Telegram channel ukr.net on Thursday.

The message noted that the ukr.net domain was disabled by the domain name registrar for unknown reasons. This happened on the night of Thursday, March 7 at 1:35 Kyiv time.

"The domain name registrar Network Solutions suddenly and without any warning blocked the ukr.net domain. As a result, the ukr.net news feed and email @ ukr.net became unavailable to Internet users," the message states.

The problem has not yet been resolved through the registrar's support service. ukr.net expressed the hope that they will be able to obtain more information when the office of the American registrar company begins working hours.

The administration of the portal reported that it had already asked for help from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova.

"We are sure that these difficulties are temporary, and soon the mail @ ukr.net and the news feed on the ukr.net portal will work again," the company assured.
