Some 167 children die in Ukraine as result of Russian armed aggression

As of the morning of April 7, the official number of children killed due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation has not changed - 167. The number of injured has increased - more than 297, the Prosecutor General's Office said on Thursday.

"These figures are not final, since work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories," the report says.

According to the data received, the most children suffered in Kyiv region - 86, Donetsk region - 81, Kharkiv region - 73, Chernihiv region - 50, Mykolaiv region - 39, Luhansk region - 32, Zaporizhia region - 22, Kherson region - 29, capital - 16, Sumy region - 16, Zhytomyr region - 15 regions.

As noted, on April 6, the body of a 12-year-old girl was delivered to the morgue, who, during shelling in March, burned down in a car on a highway near the village Yahidne of Chernihiv region.

It became known that during the temporary occupation of the territories of Vyshgorodsky district of Kyiv region in March, servicemen of the armed forces and other military formations of the Russian Federation shelled the civilian population of Dymer village. As a result of the shelling, a child was wounded, and his father died on the spot.

On March 22, a 4-year-old boy was seriously injured as a result of shelling of the city of Kharkiv.

"As a result of daily bombing and shelling, 928 educational institutions were damaged. Some 84 of them were completely destroyed," the report says.
