Crimea's Prosecutor's Office identifies data of more than 9,000 Crimean law enforcers suspected of state treason

The Investigative Department of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC) has established complete identification data for more than 9,000 law enforcement officers suspected of high treason, first deputy prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Mykola Ivanets has said.

"The Investigative Department of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea carries out pretrial investigation in 123 criminal proceedings on the facts of committing treason. In the course of the pretrial investigation, the staff number of 18 law enforcement agencies operating on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol before the occupation of the peninsula, was established. This is about 18,600 people," Ivanets said at a coordination meeting of law enforcement bodies of Crimea, the website of the Prosecutor's Office of the ARC said on Thursday.

He stressed that due to the work of the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, complete identification data for more than 9,000 people had been established.

"The collection of evidence is carried out mainly by investigators of the prosecutor's office. Today we have the relevant registers containing the necessary information on more than 4,000 people from among law enforcers," the first deputy prosecutor added.
